Entrepreneurship: New Stakes, New Behaviours "

ESCEM and ISC PARIS are organising a conference on the theme of Entrepreneurship, in partnership with University College Cork, (Ireland) and the University of Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) with the sponsorship of Académie de l’Entrepreneuriat (Paris, France).

The conference entitled “Entrepreneurship: New Stakes, New Behaviours” will take place at ISC PARIS, 22, boulevard du Fort de Vaux, in Paris’s 17th district, on Monday June 11, 2007 between 9am and 7pm.


The objectives of this conference :

•    To set out a range of practices and approaches in Entrepreneurship at European and international levels,
•    To take account of the multiple dimensions of Entrepreneurship: innovative, organisational, human and social,
•    Sharpen awareness across academic, professional and student audiences to Entrepreneurship.


The conference addresses the following themes :

Entrepreneurial process : from emergence to the active stage (innovation process);

Entrepreneurship and organisations :
influence of the social environment (Governance, Intrapreneurship, economic intelligence);

Entrepreneurship and geographical scope : from the regional to the cross-national level or from local to global (local and regional economic development: incentives policies: European and international entrepreneurial practice);

The individual and entrepreneurship : the human factor (individual and collective start-ups

Teaching and Learning at the heart of the entrepreneurship challenge etc.).


Special feature

During the conference, ecch workshop tutor and executive committee member John Thompson will be leading a session focused on writing cases for use in entrepreneurship studies and learning.
